Genuine 1890’s butcher block made by Adonis Dumichel from the outskirts of Toulouse in France.
Nice sculptural back board, the top is made of beech and maple wood which has been beautifully carved after generations of use. Large single draw with metal handle, nice bronze ornamental domes and steal corner brackets. It also has a metal plate that reads "Adonis Dumichel:: Villa des Sapins:: Sainte Livrade:: Lot & Garonne".
The top is sitting on top of nicely detailed and stable turned legs.
This piece is oozing character with its very tactile curvy top and lovely patina!
Dimensions are 1510mm long, 900mm (at the highest) block height, 1500mm at the top of back board and 630 depth.
